Chaos Gem
About
Chaos Gem is the power of Veldara. When the Veldara expansion came out in the summer of 2019, players had a whole new aspect of the game to explore. This aspect was called chaos. To level up your Chaos Gem, you had to complete multiple tasks.
Path to Obtain
To begin your Chaos Gem journey, speak to Lavana and obtain the quest Chaotic Gemcutting (Q).
Additionally, Studying the Chaos, must be completed by speaking to Tordin. Studying the Chaos awards the "Uncut Chaos Gem" required by Lavana.
Chaos Ore
Chaos Ore is an item used to upgrade your Chaos Gem. There are numerous ways to earn Chaos Ore, as is explained in each section below. Almost all of the ways to own Chaos Ore can be done in parallel and have no set completion order requirement.
Earning the Ore Quests
Levels 81 and 85 award 1x Chaos Ore per Level. By simply leveling up, you can then go visit Lavana for 1x Chaos Ore after you've obtained each new level.
- Earning the Ore (Level 81)

- Earning the Ore (Level 83)
- Earning the Ore (Level 84)
- Earning the Ore (Level 85)
Veldara Quests
Speak to Tordin to complete the following quests, in order, to obtain 1x Chaos Ore for each quest completion.
- Veldara Wastes
- Veldara Cliffs
- Veldara Arena
- Veldara Woods
- Veldara Caves - Also rewards Veldarian Augment
At level 83, the following three additional quests are offered once completing the previous Veldara quests:
- Saving Zaldar
- Defending Tyrisar
- Purging the Garden - Awards 2x Chaos Ore
Rare Mob Kills
Golems
NOTE: You cannot attack Golems until you complete the first step of Veldara Caves which provides you with a Cave Lantern providing access to the area.
There are three quests offered by Rorvono to kill Chaos Golems with decently long respawn times. Each Chaos Golem will eventually drop a Crystal that will let you complete the quest.
- Easy: Seeping Chaos Golem - Drops 1x Chaos Ore
- Medium: Deluged Chaos Golem - Drops 2x Chaos Ore
- Difficult: Volatile Chaos Golem - Drops 3x Chaos Ore
Manic
Speak to Trooper Soze to complete the quest Defeating the Manic by killing Aezel the Garden Manic and obtaining a Soul of Aezel drop. Once completed, it will reward 1x Chaos Ore.
Pulsating Stones
There are ten Pulsating Stone quests available by Norin that award 1x Chaos Ore each. They are named Pulsating Exchange 1 and count up to Pulsating Exchange 10. Each quest requires 1x Pulsating Stone that can be turned in.
These stones drop from Raids and can also be purchased on the Treasury for 400 points (360 if Preferred Player).
Exposed Rocks
There are ten Exposed Rock quests available by Lavana that award 1x Chaos Ore each. They are named Rocks for Ore 1 and count up to Rocks for Ore 4. Each quest requires 6x Exposed Rock that can be turned in.
These stones can be exchanged with Yerken for 25x Challenge Tokens per each Exposed Rock.
Unstable Jewels
There is an Unstable Jewels quest available by Ashala that requires 1x Unstable Jewel three times that awards 1x Chaos Ore each step. Unstable Jewels only drop by Zyrak, Vision of Madness raid boss.
Unstable Minerals
There is an Unstable Minerals quest available by Gladiator Missionary that requires 1x Unstable Mineral five times that awards 1x Chaos Ore each step. Unstable Minerals only drop by Vork, Gladiator of Chaos.
Tyribots Quest
There is a quest provided by Cyborg 42069 called Hunting Tyribots that requires you to farm numerous Tyribots for 3x Rused Tyribot CPU, 2x Standard Tyribot CPU, and 1x Overclocked Tyribot CPU that can be turned in to received 3x Chaos Ore.
Recipes
Dorgon offers three recipe quests that can be made using the Cauldron. Each quest rewards 2x Chaos Ore at completion.
